January 2012 (24/6) is aptly named after the god Janus, the god of transition. This month marks a transition on a grand scale. This month is devoted to getting organized before you proceed.

Mars continues being retrograde this whole month until April 14 between 22°34' and 15°10' Virgo. This is a wonderful period to regenerate at a cellular level by becoming aware of the foods we eat and the water we drink, as well as the purity of our actions, thoughts, and words.

So here we are at the beginning of another year, and as we all know, this is no ordinary year. There are several major astrological shifts or alignments in 2012, including Neptune's move into its own sign of Pisces and the Venus eclipse of the Sun, both of which I discussed in December's column.

As I gaze at the planetary configurations for March, I'm reminded of the old fable about the tortoise and the hare. I'm sure you're familiar with this story about the impulsive, quick-paced hare who challenges the plodding tortoise to a race simply because he knows he will win.

March 2012 (26/8) marks the end of the three-month cycle of growing the seeds you clarified and planted between October and December of this past year. It is appropriate that this vibration is one of manifestation. It is time to evaluate your inner garden and see the abundance that is there.

Mercury turns retrograde on March 12 at 6°48' Aries till April 4 at 23°51' Pisces. We are now tapping into our mystic dimension as the veil between the visible and the invisible is thinning.

May 2012 (28/10/1) brings you opportunities for originality and initiative in creating the new concepts from a place of authority that will ensure everything that occurs is based in the law of justice.

What is real and what is illusion? This is the question we might find ourselves contemplating during April as a tangled web begins to weave itself in the heavens.
