At the age of thirty-seven, the last thing I ever thought of was becoming a psychic medium with the ability to communicate with the dead. I worked as a counselor at a shelter for abused women and children called Crossroads.

In my early days as a medium, I often hoped my clients would find enough value in our sessions to remunerate me. I also wondered whether asking for compensation was disrespectful to the whole idea of mediumship.
