Cooking takes on a spiritual quality for many. When it comes naturally, there is an almost ethereal element to your technique. I am a firm believer in the powers of Reiki, and I have witnessed firsthand how this modality calms the kitchen gods and brings healing light into the meal. A Reiki treatment, channeled into the food, can turn a botched kettle of white sauce into a smooth and creamy béchamel, arousing joy in the gourmand who consumes it.

Reiki is a hands-on, restorative energy technique that naturally replenishes emotional and physical well-being. I am attuned at level two, which means I can practice Reiki on others and myself. Although I have never gravitated toward healing others through physical touch, I have learned to apply my Reiki talents to cooking.

When I enter a new kitchen, I invoke my Reiki symbols to generate blessings. When something goes wrong in the kitchen, I invoke my Reiki symbols in hopes of saving the dish. But most importantly, I invoke my Reiki symbols as a way of injecting blessings into the meals I prepare, holding the belief that those who eat my food will experience love, peace, joy, bliss, happiness, and perfect health.
