Dear ones, standing in truth is a vital part of honoring the divinity within you. So often spiritual seekers are able to give but not receive. So often you avoid confrontation at all costs and surrender aspects of your integrity by apologizing when someone steps on your foot. It is just as wrong to allow others to force or impose their will over you as it is for you to unjustly impose your will over the rights of others.

We are speaking in a broad spectrum, and of course there are complexities that determine appropriate action in any situation, but honoring the self is an essential part of your growth. And unless you honor the righteously considered and appropriate boundaries of any relationship, neither side will learn the value of virtue. When another is abusive, either knowingly or unconsciously, it is appropriate to stand in truth. How else does the other learn? How else do you grow?
