Dissolving and Releasing Linear Time from the Body
Mastery of Time and Space
Students often ask what tools or methods are available to assist them in achieving mastery. How can we define mastery? Many settle for meditation, one of the tools for learning to still the mind. However, meditation is not the point of arrival. In fact, as Toltec naguals have taught for thousands of years, there is never any point of arrival.
One definition of mastery is having the option of silence of the mind. Silencing the egoic mind allows us to be in the world but not of it. In fact, very few people in the world today have this option. Most people are surrounded by the constant noise of blaring TVs, radios, computers, cell phones, the hum of the electronic appliances, and the constant chatter of the internal dialogue of the mind.
The process below removes linear time from the body. Its removal is temporary unless we cease resisting life. It provides us with the ability to know what our bodies feel like without tension. In this way, we can recognize the tension caused by resistance and deal with it the minute it raises its head — first, by changing our attitude, and second, by getting the linear time out of the body. To do so, spend at least a half-hour per day following the method below. If at all possible, spend a week or even just a weekend engaged in the process; this is very beneficial and results in more long-term gains.
