As above, so below. The universe is energy. All life is energy. Energy cannot be destroyed; it can only be transformed. In this sense, there is no such thing as death. There is transformation from one type of energetic existence into another. What you currently feel as life is a continuation of energies that have existed since Source began to express itself in a physical way. Yet from the vantage point of a spiritually aware member of the family human, life is more than just a series of energetic exchanges or alterations. At your core, you sense that you are more than simple energy. This awareness demonstrates clearly that you possess a higher state of consciousness.

The Challenge of Becoming Balanced

Existence is a tangible thing that you can be aware of at many levels. When we become incarnate on the planet, awareness arrives in several phases. Consciously, you are first aware of yourself as a physical entity. As your incarnation progresses, you become more emotionally cognizant and then more mentally cognizant as well. It is an interesting point to note, however, that at the instant of birth, most humans are more spiritually complete than at any other time during the rest of their incarnation. It is the point of life when you remain the most unaffected by the physical realm of gravity. Even within the womb throughout gestation, you are shielded from the effects of the realm of gravity in many ways. The connection to your karmic thread maintains a clarity not easily accessible after your physical arrival and separation from your mother.

It is only after the process of birth that you begin to be directly affected by the world. You then build your personal experiences and perceptions without the filtering protection of belonging to another life form, that of your mother. From that point, you develop an identity that is entwined with other beings. The purity of your karmic essence fades. That karmic essence is never lost. But as you progress through life on the planet, there are many disruptions and distractions to your true spiritual nature.
