Violet: I often put a leash on my cat, Ebony. He’s thirteen years old, and I always walk him down a country road. In the past couple of weeks, I’ve noticed something very odd on these walks. There’s this raven who follows us, not too close, just close enough. When my cat and I sit down to rest, this beautiful bird is usually about five or six feet away from us. It feels as if he’s smiling at us.
