Chapter 2 The Traveler through Robert Shapiro

I am sometimes called the Traveler. I’d like to make a suggestion for those who wish to follow the intention of this book. Consider that the motions you do in everyday life are those by which you identify your way of being. In order to prepare to change your way of being, it can be useful to try different motions — in which case you will know you are doing something that is out of the ordinary for you.

Exercise

If you can go out on any land where it is not paved, that is best. Also it is best that no one sees you or is looking at you, perhaps in the early morning or in the early evening, if you feel comfortable with that. Stand out in the land. Best is barefoot, but if this isn’t possible, then cloth soles for your shoes, not rubber or even leather. The fabric you call socks could work, but roll them down to your ankles so that little is covered.
