An inner conscious life is not just about being conscious; it is also being conscious of where we are in the moment physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, whether or not we believe in a higher power. It takes conscious and unconscious energy to be able to think about, maintain, and relive a remembered past. Living too much in the past, whether it is remembered consciously or not, hinders each now moment because the past is like a hallucination or an unconscious, programmed response to a state of being that represents an outdated or an unhealthy way of thinking and being in the world. Nevertheless, it is a memory.
