Make Every Day a New Day
With a solar eclipse (new moon) in Gemini (0º21’) on Sunday, May 20 at 4:47pm, this degree is represented by this Sabian symbol: “A glass-bottomed boat reveals undersea wonders.” Eclipse months always herald major shifts. Whatever is said or done on an eclipse day tends to be final. This particular eclipse announces changes in the way we think and communicate, so we need to pay attention to our words and feelings and make them as positive as possible. There could be much movement in our lives — people coming and going, small trips — and a lot of information that needs to be processed quickly. We could feel that the rhythm is accelerating so much that it’s hard to keep up with our own lives. Time is collapsing; past, present, and future are happening simultaneously. The deeper the power and beauty of our subconscious that is being revealed, the clearer our thoughts and expression become, helping us manifest the reality we want.
Venus turns retrograde on May 15 until June 27, when it will have reached 7º29’ Gemini. This month it travels from 23º59’ to 19º24’ Gemini. The images associated with these degrees in the Sabian symbols are: “A modern cafeteria displays an abundance of food, products of various regions”; “a tumultuous labor demonstration”; “dancing couples in a harvest festival”; “three fledglings in a nest high in a tree”; and “children skating over a frozen village pond.” It is not such a good time for anything related to aesthetics such as plastic surgery or buying new clothes, but it’s a great time for a love we thought was lost, as it could resurface better than ever before. A legal battle may clear, and money that is owed to us may suddenly return. Life becomes more exciting and harmonious. We are drawn to beauty and seek a peaceful joy in our social encounters. We shall experience all of the above throughout the shadow period that lasts until July 31, when Venus returns to the exact same degree at which it started its retrograde motion.
Saturn continues being retrograde this whole month between 25º 02’ and 23º17’ Libra until June 25, when it will have reached 22º45’ Libra. These degrees are symbolized in the Sabian symbols as follows: “A butterfly with a third wing on its side”; “the sight of an autumn leaf brings to a pilgrim the sudden revelation of the mystery of life and death”; and “an eagle and a large white dove change into each other.” This time is a chance to revisit and make right what was going on in a love relationship between October 28 and November 6, 2011. If we had no relationship at that time, the opportunity is given to us to understand exactly what we want and create our inner marriage so that we may attract a significant other from a place of fulfillment and feeling whole — not from a place of scarcity, fear, or need. We are learning to balance our power and our peace, to delve deeply into life’s mysteries and truly understand our deep inner connection with someone we cherish. The shadow period of this transit will last until October 1.
