I Am a Leaf
I am a leaf floating in a stream. I am an oak leaf, yellow in color. The wind brought me here along with many others. We drift along, some of us together, some of us seemingly apart.
I am here now gently moving. The sun is upon me, and it reflects off the water. The stream narrows, and I move faster. Sometimes I go under the water’s surface, and then I come up again. The river, no longer a stream, spreads out. I am a leaf.
