This is my story, and I’m so excited to tell you, so pull up a chair and get cozy. My name is George, and I’m a very young, vibrant, strong, exuberant German shepherd. I was taking my mother for a walk through the woods recently. Being as young as I am, I’m very active, and I have tons of energy. I haven’t had any obedience training to stay down off people, so when I greet people and I’m exciting, up I go, jumping on them and sometimes even knocking them down. I really don’t mean to; it’s just that I get so excited, and I guess I can’t control myself. Sorry I got off track there. I do that a lot, so you’ll just have to bear with me if I start to ramble.

Anyway, as I was saying, Mom was taking me for a walk through the woods where we live. I was happy and excited that afternoon because the sunshine was so nice and warm on my face, and shining through my hair so radiantly. The sky was the most beautiful shade of blue with just a few clouds. And the birds were all singing their melodious songs of joy and love for nature and each other.

We live on a farm in a beautiful
wooded area, not very close to civilization but close enough. Our nearest neighbor is a couple of miles away.
