A Grand Finale of Huge Change

A Grand Finale of Huge Change Donna Taylor

During the past few years, we have witnessed the effects of the mirroring energies of Pluto and Uranus on Earth. These two planets represent change at the deepest level, and if we look back to 2012, we can all probably see that our lives have changed to some degree. The signs most affected by these planets — Aquarius, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Aries — perhaps have witnessed the most profound changes. For anyone whose world has been rocked by this planetary pair during the past three years, the good news is that this month sees them making their final aspect before going on their merry way. This means for many people — and for the world in general — life should soon begin to feel a little less chaotic and unstable.

But first we have to get through the final square. Perhaps it would help to see this last alignment as the grand finale. So what can we expect? Since Mars is getting in on the act, the answer is probably quite a bit. On March 12, Mars conjoins Uranus and makes a perfect 90-degree angle to Pluto. The south node is involved too, showing quite clearly that we need to break our old patterns and that the way forward will be borne out of courage and a willingness to let go of the old. We may need to be a little bit rebellious and to break out of our shackles. Look at whatever limits restricts you, and ask yourself if it's time to break free. It could be a situation or a relationship, but it's just as likely to be a habit or a belief that holds you back.

Examine Power Imbalances and Resistance to Change

It's also important that we address the issue of power. Are our relationships based on fairness and equality, or is someone taking or giving more than he or she should? Are your relationships healthy and balanced, or are there issues of dependency? All over the world, we have seen uprisings, chaos, and conflict because of long-term power imbalances, general injustice, and outdated beliefs. Of course, the world is simply a mirror of the people who live on it, which is why it's so important to make sure we are living in a way that we want to see reflected back to us. As Mahatma Gandhi said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Many people find this difficult. I hear people complain about politicians falsifying their expenses, abusing their power, and not telling the truth, and I see the very same behaviors in the people who are complaining! If we all worked a little bit harder to eliminate the little deceptions and sleights of hand from our own lives, we would be less likely to have it mirrored back to us.
