The month of June is not what it appears to be. In and around all the sweetness and light that we attach to our visions of the midsummer solstice, the first day of June marks the beginning of an initiation process that will remain in play for ninety days — give or take. Once every year, whenever the Sun transits the tenth-degree of Gemini and the fixed star, Sirius, appears to disappear from the Northern Hemisphere’s night sky, those of us who inhabit the Earth plane enter a period of trials and testing that spans from the first day of June until mid-to-late August.
