Living the Conscious Life
Good afternoon, this is Isis of Thebes and Karnak. I want to begin today by saying that these transmissions will begin a series of six talks concerning the nature of conscious living. It is basically living in the now — but it can be much more than that. What I am referring to here is a way of lifting your consciousness to a much higher level than it normally exists at and holding it there during each day.
There are some basic steps we can take along the way to ensure that this can be done easily on a daily basis. For example, you should start out by meditating first thing in the morning, or as soon as you can if you have a busy schedule. It will only take about five to ten minutes to do each morning and can fit into almost any lifestyle. Simply sit down for those few minutes in the morning, and over time, you will feel that your day goes better if you make that small effort early on.
The meditation goes like this: First, sit down comfortably with your back erect and your hands resting comfortably on your lap. You can put your hands in the first mudra position if you are accustomed to doing this. If you are not, it is done as follows: Place the tips of both index fingers on the tips of both thumbs and rest them comfortably on your thighs. Breathe in, and as you inhale, focus on your third eye ajna center.
