The month of July is ablaze with light as if the solar power that reached its zenith on midsummer night turned into a swan song of free energy that fired up the world for the next forty days. We were led to believe that what came to be known as the “dog days” got christened with that name because all the dogs on the planet spend this stretch of the summer lying around in the shade, doing whatever it takes to take the edge off the heat. We have covered this subject in previous issues. For those who missed those conversations, the following review is in order.
