Kathy H., New York: I was referred to you by my friend, Molly. I would like to discuss my seven-month-old Polish dwarf bunny, Freya. I was going to have her spayed, but her bloodwork came back with high liver enzymes. I need to know what I can do naturally and holistically to help reduce these levels. She’s also exhibiting excessive chewing on just about anything, and I’m not sure whether this is a behavioral or medical concern or whether it’s just part of being a bunny, and she will calm down as she gets older.

In addition, I would like to discuss my thirteen-year-old cat, Moomoo, who passed six months ago of kidney disease and a tumor on her hind leg. Moomoo was a stray who found my husband and I when she was three years old. I would like some closure regarding what may have caused her disease and what I could have done differently to help her.
