Is there a divine plan unfolding, or are you just flying by the seat of your pants creating your reality collectively, unconsciously, and moment by moment? With all the division and conflict these days, it may be a stretch of your imagination to hold the vision of the world in perfect harmony and with a divine plan. The discord and appearance of chaos in 2019 can certainly cause you to question whether there is a divine order or plan of any kind. So you might conclude the world needs more love and light to dispel the darkness. That will surely solve the problem, right? Well, yes. But do you know that darkness is necessary?

Darkness is not a bad thing. It is necessary to give contrast to the light. Because you live in a realm of duality, you can’t have one without the other. The good news is darkness can do nothing but bring you back into balance by calling in more light. Did you get that? It’s a balancing act! The universe always seeks the perfect balance.

In the new year, you can expect more light to flow in and expose even more darkness. It’s certainly a challenge to maintain optimism when you see people’s hearts harden, tempers rise, and a separation of humankind consumed by darkness that seems to be spreading. It is okay to question and feel as if you take one step forward and two steps back. At times, it may feel as if you are regressing; but you really are progressing. With all the darkness that appears to loom over you, there is nothing to fear. It is actually a cause for celebration.
