Imagine a world where the school bullies see their illusions, transform the darkness inside of themselves, and find true respect and care for the ones they once bullied. Imagine a world where the bullies cry tears of remorse as they humbly listen deeply and feel the pain and anguish of the ones they inflict cruelty on.

This and other miracles are common occurrences in my elementary school classroom. Signs litter the classroom walls with sayings such as the following:

• "Never give up."¹
• "Respect everyone."¹
• "Don't let the fear stop you."¹
• "You are a beautiful gem."²
• "What are you grateful for?"

As the little ones burst into the room with the excitement and anticipation of a new morning, they read the signs to get centered for a day of introspection and inner change applied to a rigorous academic curriculum.
