Irene replies: My husband and I were having issues due to the extreme stress he operates under from being self-employed and having a crazy family. When he's stressed like that, it comes back on me. We've done a lot of talking about it and have discussed ways to handle the issues that were arising too frequently and causing problems for us. I think the "giving birth" refers to our new ideas and problem solving, and the birth on the toilet is ridding ourselves of the problems we were having. It's been a learning process for both of us since I figured out how to help him de-stress or at least not add to it. We're doing quite well as a result. He's still the love of my life. What I've learned specifically is that what he really needs from me is to just listen and not get impatient when I hear the same complaints over and over. He's much calmer and happier since I've been doing that. Thank you!
